TRADITOM poster presentation at 11th Italian meeting on biodiversity

The 11th National Conference on Biological Diversity was held from June 9-10th in the Southern Italian city Matera. The aim of the conference is to keep up a continuous debate and interaction between researchers, public organisations and private institutions on the topics management, monitoring and conservation of biodiversity. It particularly highlights the diverse factors that link the local biodiversity with the agro-food chains and ecosystem services while taking into account latest research and innovations. The conference is also meant to give an overview of biodiversity research in Regional Development Projects.

The 2-days event was organized in five sessions and a round table. During the poster session on June 09, TRADITOM partners CNR, ARCA 2010 as well as associated partner University of Reggio Calabria, presented a poster titled “Progetto TRADITOM: Caratterizzazione é valorizzazione di varietà tradizionali di pomodoro“. Dr. Silvana Grandillo from partner CNR outlines the presentation as follows: “The poster gives a general overview of the phenotypic characterization of the accessions the partners provided within TRADITOM, as well as a few examples of the post-harvest behavior of a subset of the accessions.
