TRADITOM is a Research and Innovation project that focuses on the identification and valorisation of European traditional tomato varieties and their cultural practices. It provides a case for agricultural diversification with impact on food security and health of the European population and supports economic development of rural farmers and related industry.

TRADITOM seeks to provide traditional tomato farmers with a strong science-based knowledge platform on the identity of traditional tomato varieties.

TRADITOM is characterized by a multi-actor approach that includes academic institutions, farmers associations, and an SME breeding company.
