SolGenomics: From Advances to Applications

Over 300 scientists and students will convene at the campus of the University of California in Davis (USA) to attend the 13th SolGenomics Conference on 12-16 September 2016.

The annual meeting brings the community together to share the latest developments in research, application and production of solanaceous crops including potato, tomato, pepper, eggplant, tobacco and petunia. Particular focus will be on the advances made in the applications of genomics to these crops which hold global agronomic importance.

Research will be showcased to an international audience including industry and public sector professionals. Participants are invited to join in discussions across the whole field of genomics in over 14 themed sessions including “Diversity and Taxonomy”, “Genomics-Assisted Breeding” and “Flowers, Seeds and Fruit”.

TRADITOM will be represented by Prof. Antonio Granell as invited speaker to the Crop taxonomy/ Germoplasm diversity session who will also be concluding the conference and introducing the 2017 Solanaceae Conference which will be organized next year in Valencia with many of the TRADITOM partners as part of the Organizing Committee.
