TRADITOM Kids Workshop at UPV Summer School

University Polytechnic of Valencia Campus, 20-22 July 2016 from 09:00 to 13:30

The TRADITOM consortium will lead a workshop for children on biodiversity and nutrition as well as taste with regards to different tomato varieties during a Summer School organized at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. The children will be able to participate in interactive sessions showing the importance of genetic variability as they will be introduced to tomatoes differing in shape, color and type. Additionally, the children can participate in a taste test where they can blindly taste different tomato varieties and compare them with one another. During this test, the children will also be divided in different taster categories according to their individual classification as supertasters, tasters and non-tasters.

The workshop will run from July 20-22, 2016 from 9:00 – 13:30 in altogether eight different sessions with up to 25 children each (age 8-10).
