The XI International Symposium on the Plant Hormone Ethylene will take place from June 2-6, 2018.

TRADITOM partner Angelos Kanellis (AUTH) is chairman of the 2018 symposium and is co-organising the event that will be held in the historic Chania region on the stunning Greek island of Crete.

As chair of the programme topic “Postharvest Physiology and Quality”, he will speak about “Postharvest Fruit Ripening and Quality within the European Traditional Pool of Tomato Varieties”, in particular addressing the effect of temperature and 1-MCP.

ETHYLENE meetings are an international affiliation of researchers working on all aspects of Ethylene. This includes investigations spanning from biosynthetic/ sensing/ transductive/ responsive mechanisms to assessing the biological activities of this hormone. The affiliation hosts meetings every 3-4 years for the past two decades that are regularly frequented by TRADITOM consortium members.
