Centre Technique Interprofessionnel des Fruits et Légumes

Established in 1952, CTIFL is a non-profit organisation, devoted to fresh fruit and vegetable in France. All experimentations, studies, trainings and publications aim to improve the level of expertise necessary in all sectors of the fruit and vegetable industry, as well as improving company performance. In answer to consumer concerns, CTIFL’s expertise contributes to management quality, ensures food safety and hygiene, contributes to the preservation of the environment, and strives for a sustainable development.

Brigitte Navez will lead CTIFL’s scientific activities. She has realised several studies and collaborations with science and industry partners in the respective field.

For the TRADITOM project, CTIFL’s scientific and technical directorate for fruits and vegetables is involved on two CTIFL experimental centres, i.e. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (near Avignon) and Balandran (near Nîmes), in the heart of a major fruit and vegetable growing and shipping area in the South-East of France. CTIFL will contribute its expertise in quality studies,product and market research including sensory analyses and consumer preferences.
